Here's to an awesome Indonesian food nostalgic moments! One word: SUPERB!

Being an Indonesian growing up in Malaysia makes me crave for homey Balinese foods sometimes. And here it is! Bumbu Bali is where you would want to savour good Balinese food with romantic ambience and Balinese decoration that will make you feel like in Bali (for real, they make it so alike traditional restaurants in Bali). Anniversary with your husband/wife/bf/gf? Bring them here, here's the place you would want to be!

Their menu used a lot of Balinese terms for the food (dont worry, they have the English description below), makes me feel like even like at home. We ordered their famous Chicken Nasi Campur (RM37, portion is quite big!) which is the combination between lemongrass grilled chicken, prawns, fish and squid, fish satay (this one is really special) and served with Indonesian spicy Sambal Terasi (prawn paste chili) and Sambal Matah (onion chili paste). If you happen to visit and indecisive of what to order, order this one instead, you won't regret it :)

They have Tipat Cantuk (RM19) also here! It is usually called Tipat Cantok in Bali, is Balinese warm vegetable salad with grilled chicken, fried tofu, hard boiled egg and rice cakes, drenched in peanut tamarind sauce. This one is also Balinese specialty that you would want to try ;)

For those that craving for some finger foods, try ordering the Cumi Cumi Goreng (RM19), it's actually fried calamari rings and fried potato chunks served with the in-house tartar cream sauce (I always think that this is a perfect snack to munch on after swimming 😂)

Drinks! You gotta try their Kopi Apokat (RM15), served in a fancy glass with a shot of coffee, it's basically thick, creamy avocado juice that you rarely can find in Malaysia. Must try. Ice blended Pulut Hitam (RM12) is basically black glutinous rice juice (oh I looveee black glutinous rice 😍), unique tasting and potentially quite filling 🙃, a must try too!

Overall: I will definitely come back for a good dose of Balinese food 👏🏻
