Started off as a takeaway stall at 313 Somerset, @hvala_sg finally opened its 2nd outlet at CHIJMES! Designed to look like an Oriental Japanese Teahouse, the space is able to cater to different party sizes and over 30 seatings in total. Incorporating the concept to produce goods that are prepared upon order - whisking of matcha tea, you can be sure nothing served is stale.

It was fluffy, slightly moist and not too sweet for my liking. With that drizzle of matcha sauce, it added a lingering bitterness to the overall flavour, perfect for any hardcore matchaholics. I feel that the sweetness from the thin layer of azuki bean paste was kind of non-existent though...
