Featured is under the $15.80 Value Lunch Set (Wednesday) that are available everyday from 11am to 5pm. Comes with soup of the day, garlic bread, coffee/tea/soft drinks and a scoop of ice cream to complete the meal.

Just average for the price, don’t expect too much 😂. A bit surprised that it wasn’t as tough/rubbery as I expected.

Tender Whole Chicken Leg, Creamy Potato Chunks, Luscious Thick Homemade Curry Gravy, Charcoal You Tiao

Located in the heart of Siglap estate, @goodtimeeatdrink is a neighbourhood kitchen & bar that serves up traditional Chinese, Peranakan and Singaporean specialities with a modern twist. Having walls that are decorated with colourful, vintage posters of Asian movie stars, this restaurant is certainly a great spot to chill and also soak in the good retro vibes.

I will just let the pictures speak for themselves 😋.
Definitely had a good time eating and drinking here. But if I had to nitpick, I’d say I wished the Charcoal You Tiao was crispier.

Slightly disappointed with the egg yolk as it was already oozing out with yellow goodness when served. Packed with a generous amount of beef slices, they was pretty tender and complemented well with the grilled buttery toast. Glad that the flavour wasn’t compromised, just the aesthetics 😂.

With 4 outlets around Singapore, Nature Café is a vegetarian joint that serves food without the use of MSG. Unfortunately, this dish fell short of my expectation in terms of quantity ( 2 miserable pieces of “steak”?). But overall, I was still pleased with most of the “Tze Char” dishes that we ordered. Special mention goes to their “mutton” curry.

Though it was lacking that slight caramel taste which I desire, I’m still glad that it tasted as good as it looked.

Arriving at the shores of Singapore (Jewel Changi Airport) on 17 April!

Displayed like a huge macaron (Swipe 👈 to see), @camaca.sg serves Singapore’s first ever capsule pod Gelato! Hand-made and individually stored in custom made capsules, these gelato are churned out upon order, making every bite a fresh lively sensation.

Overall, the gelato we had were pretty on point. For the durian lovers out there, go ahead and try their Mustang King Durian Gelato (slightly more expensive). And if you are looking for something more interesting, consider getting the Lychee Rose Gelato or Pomelo Tea Gelato.

Roasted eel & cucumber sushi roll, topped with avocado, spicy mayonnaise, sweet sauce and crunch

A recently addition to the list of restaurants at JB City Square, Sushi House offers fresh Japanese sushi at affordable prices, especially for Singaporeans crossing the causeway. If you buy more than 20 plates of sushi (I think?), those pieces of sushi will be served and presented nicely on a ship. Pretty instagramable I think...

Pretty decent for the price though I feel they weren’t very generous with the amount of avocado and roasted eel, resulting in the lack of flavour.

Striving to bring affordable and healthy Thai cuisine to Singapore, @soi47thaifood is a true food gem hidden a stone’s throw away from Lavender MRT Station. They also have another outlet nestled within the heartlands of Toa Payoh. Can’t wait to be back again!

Two Eggs, Chorizo, Garbanzo Beans and Crushed Wasabi Peas; Served with Sourdough

Featured in Burpple’s guide as one of the twelve best cafes in Singapore, @onemancoffee is honoured to stand out along the row of shophouses at Upper Thomson Road, with its coffee from @nyloncoffee and sumptuous all-day brunch.

This brought me memories of having a comforting breakfast at @yakunkayatoastsg, but with an European twist to it. Though it was already filling enough for me, I wished there were more slices of sourdough to go along with the beautiful concoction.
