Strolled past this fairly new ice-cream spot at Thomson V Two situated just beside Buta Kin the other day whilst visiting the new Le Cafe Blanche — made a mental note to return to give them a try.

Offering a decent selection of pretty “safe” gelato flavours such as Biscoff, Yuzu and Lychee Raspberry, Isee Cream offers patrons a choice of either having their gelato in cups, cones or Herb & Spice Belgian Waffles. We found ourselves ordering the Pistachio gelato with the Herb & Spice Belgian Waffles; the gelato being smooth and creamy, yet carrying a dense and sticky texture that is often associated as the difference between ice-cream and gelato — the gelato also carrying a robust nuttiness that remained prominent throughout the entire scoop without being overly sweet. The Herb & Spice Waffles comes rather dense; more of an old-school batter that seems to carry a slight hint of cinnamon(?) for a slight twist.

Apart from this, we were also liked the Valrhona P125 gelato which we had in a cup — a chocolate Gelato which employs the use of Valrhona chocolate which was immensely smooth; decadent and rich with its deep bittersweet notes that is absolutely elegant which would leave chocolate lovers pretty satisfied considering how well-rounded that flavour is with a good contrast that sets it apart from your usual chocolate ice-cream. That being said, considering how Isee Cream is located at Thomson V Two, it also means that it makes for a decent, an quieter alternative option away from the usual choices that are situated along the busier Upper Thomson area.
