Despite hearing rave reviews for the prawn noodle, we didn’t manage to try it that day but instead what we have ordered include the Pencil Fries with Tom Yum Mayo ($3.90) and the stall’s signature SG Umami Pizza ($15.90). The former is a great complement with a pint of beer as the unusual pencil fries are dressed in a mildly spicy tom yum mayo while the latter is the winner of the evening. The 10-inch thin crusted pizza is made from scratch upon order and comes with a tomato base and topped with a secret umami sauce, sweet onions, Sakura ebi and a generous serving of bonito flakes that gave it the distinctive umami-ness. This is definitely fusion done right and with a lively environment surrounding it, you can easily gather a few friends, order a few pizzas and sides, and wash them down with some beer.
