This is pretty genius! The laminated dough takes the buttered filo pastry layers' place, then you get the nuttiness from the almonds in the frangipane blanketed over and the sprinkled chopped pistachios. For the sugar syrup element, orange blossom honey is varnished on for that glossy finish – and no, it's not cloyingly sweet!

I enjoyed this on its own, but the Burnt Honey Sea Salt Softie complements it well too.
