”Nakupenda” means I love you in Swahili and while I wouldn’t say I fell in love with this dessert, it was certainly enjoyable and unique. Also great for cooling down in the recent sweltering weather. They offer rotational soft serves at seasonal prices, with the current house flavour being Hokkaido Milk. Didn’t have much expectations given the African focus so was pleasantly impressed to find their soft serve smooth, creamy, and with distinct milky flavour. The star was the Kenya donut that was airy and light with a crisp exterior. Tasted elements of middle eastern spices which I’m guessing to be nutmeg and cardamom which added flavour depth. However, did find the generous swirl of soft serve to overpower the small donut and lean towards the sweeter side
