A whiff of authentic durian greeted me as I carried the toast to my table. Indeed, @yakunkayatoastsg didn’t disappoint me but they should’ve called this durian toast instead as I couldn’t taste the kaya at all😂 The durian spread somewhat reflect notes of a durian stick. Nevertheless, love the combination of butter, kaya and durian spread sandwiched in slices of warm crispy bread. On another note, I find both the set and ala carte slightly pricy though it’s worth giving a try. ・
First time in my entire life eating kaya/ any traditional toast from a coffee stall and I’m glad it was a lovely experience. (I sound foreign though I’m born and raised in Singapore..)
