We wanted dessert at Raffles City and we decided to get a pastry from The Providore at Raffles City. This branch is fairly new, and it opened only in 2021. Nonetheless, it was pretty packed with the CBD lunch crowd as we went down on a Friday afternoon so if you are planning to visit, it might be safer to make a reservation first.

The cakes at The Providore are not listed on the menu and instead, you have to head to the cake counter to choose your cake. We ordered the Yuzu Fromage, which was a yuzu-flavoured cake with a creamy cheese-flavoured exterior! We loved the inside of the cake as the yuzu flavour was pretty pronounced and there are bits of yuzu fruit encased within as well. 😁 For those who are afraid of sour foods, fear not as we felt that the yuzu was surprisingly sweeter rather than sour!

The pastry uses a hazelnut-flavoured base for it's crust, although we felt that the taste of the base was overpowered by that of the yuzu-flavoured filling. The dessert costs around $9++, which is a little on the higher side given the size of the pastry, although we really loved the refreshing yuzu flavour.
