Seiwaa is my new found love from the burppler's guide. This Japanese resturant in located in the heart of Little India. Seiwaa is not hard to find among another Indian shop as the 2 red lanterns in front of its shop really make it stand out. Order the highly raved seafood monjayaki ($10) and added the must-add Cheese ($3)! The verdict: heavenly yummy-"oyster mee Sua" sauce-pan fried to this gooey-crispy based goodness. This dish is predominately thin cabbage strips chopped up to form an intricate web but as you scrape (with this cute metal spoon they provide) the monja off the pan, it sets off a party in your mouth the moment you deliver it in. It is amazing as your brain tries to process everything at one go: the chewiness of squid, the crispness of the base, the soupy/gooey sauce texture, the crunch from the shrimp and sakura ebi, the cheesy portions, the curry powder (this is a free option!) and the "where is the cabbages". I have a strong feeling that this would make a great rainy day comfort food. The server by the name of Ow and the boss were excellent in making us comfortable and they cooked all our food (no burnt food 😁). If you are those who want extra fun/ hands-on/ want-to-show-that-you-make-a-good Wife-or-Husband type, you can choose to DIY. Best part is that when you screw up, you can quickly call for the server to help you salvage (seems to be pretty common)! Xoxo, wet tissue no have; ice water 50c
