Priced from $5 for the small portion, the characteristics of Nam Sing Hokkien Fried Mee is their usage of cut up yellow noodles and thin bee hoon that you can easily pick it up with your spoon. The usual ingredients of sotong and prawns are cooked together with the noodles in their homemade stock. Whilst their signature way of serving is with cut chillies, we were surprised to find this outlet actually serves it with sambal belacan.

Perhaps they are still getting used to the frying equipment and stall’s operations, we certainly didn’t feel wowed from the food. There was a lack of flavour from the stock that was used to simmer the noodles and the sambal belacan robs away their identity on how they serve it at Old Airport Road.
