[New Rong Liang Ge Hong Kong Roast] Little did I know that the Cantonese roast that I usually frequent at Queen Street actually has an outlet in Macpherson! The best part was that we actually dined here several times without knowing it. We just know that the it's very affordable and lip-smackingly good.
Back here for lunch today and we had the usual order of a whole chicken "yuan yang" style ($20), which has half a roasted chicken and half a steamed chicken. Shared among 5 of us, we paid less than $5 per pax, including rice. A pity that they do not have one of their condiments today, the minced garlic in shallots oil, as its so addictive that you can eat it on its own.
The roasted chicken meat was tender while the steamed chicken was silky smooth, especially with the gelatin underneath the skin. It's a dining experience that will surely result in some oily lips at the end.
