Located at Fook Hai Building, hidden in an unassuming corner behind Hong Lim, May Pho Culture served some great pho and superb fried spring rolls.
So easy to love with its delicately savoury broth, the Beef Tenderloin Pho ($17.90) was ideal for our current rainy weather. Not thirst-inducing at all, the soup had a very pleasant, comforting herbaceous flavour. Flavourful yet clean-tasting. The thin slices of tenderloin were also exceedingly tender and the slurpy blanched rice noodles were perfectly cooked. There were plenty of crunchy beansprouts as well as onion slices in the mix, adding to the sweetness of the already solid bowl of pho. And it felt even more authentic with the fresh herb basket on the side.
