Intrigued by How desserts cooked over a charcoal stove would taste like , I came with high expectations but was disappointed .

Red bean soup is one my favourite desserts and short of time at home to cook the beans till soft and plump, the best way is get a quick fix outside .

I had hoped that the red bean soup here would be thicker and more aromatic with the use of the charcoal stove . Although the soup looks dark coloured , the red bean taste didn’t quite come through and instead of dried orange peel , fresh orange skin was used here so the taste of the dessert is not as authentic as I would like it to be.
The dessert was also slightly too sweet for my liking .

I had hoped that the desserts here would be better than food Court standards but I feel that the red bean soup at the kou fu group of Food courts faired better ( my Favourite is the red bean soup from kou fu food Court at the basement of anchorpoint at Alexandra )

I haven’t had much luck with food at the golden mile food centre- am still trying to find “ the “ stall .
