Hadn't tried the cheesecake from The Dispensary when they were previously at Tiong Bahru, but this was pretty good; dense, rich and creamy, heavy in cream cheese. The bottom crusted layer seemed to have a texture pretty uniform to the cake somehow; would have preferred a more crumbly, cookie-like base. Quite a pity they had moved out of the Tiong Bahru shophouse and into Short Street; the new place definitely lacked the character of the Chinese dispensary that it was known and named for.
