Popped in here with Emily Choong, a most discerning caffeine-lover and Burpple Tastemaker from KL. I left it entirely to her to do the ordering as she really knows her coffee. We ended up having the "Los Pirineos (Honey)" from El Salvador that, according to Emily's tastebuds and the display sign, contained notes of dried apricots, stonefruit and a honeyed sweetness. Our other hand-pour was the "Boa Vista" from Brazil with notes of red apples, black grapes and toffee. I will be the first to admit I am completely useless at detecting all these nuances, and merely operate on the basic level of "like" or "dislike". Well, the two coffees were really nice but both Emily and I preferred the "Los Pirineos". Being a lover of apricots, she said she could really taste the fruit in there. As for yours truly (the coffee plebeian), I just found it brighter and sweeter.

Emily Choong We should do this again when you next visit Singapore! 😄
