Fancy a set meal? Kazokutei has plenty for you to choose from! I chose one of their special dishes, the Mentai Cream-based Udon - to be honest, I actually peeked over at the other table to spot a lady having it that's why I decided to order it (indecisive moment there). Besides the udon, the $15.90 set came with a side of your choice - fried chicken, or California maki, as well as a chawanmushi unlike any other. Top up an additional $1 for tea, or $1.90 for a soft drink to complete your meal. This was a cream based I've never tasted with udon before, I think it's mostly found blown torched over a salmon sashimi sushi. Unfortunately, I couldn't even finish half the portion as the whole set was way too filling for me. Moreover, the cream base made the udon super "jelat" after a while. Nonetheless, their chawanmushi is something you should try - I believe it has mentai inside too! The color is somewhat brown, not like the usual yellow color from the eggs that is used. This place is definitely worth a go, but be warned - only head over when you have a stomach that is totally empty, otherwise you'll not only be wasting money, but food as well.
