The café was bustling with people talking over tea. As all the tables were occupied, we were arranged to sit at a table in a corner. We ordered quickly as the person taking order was rather impatient. Got scrambled eggs (which was recommended), a peanut butter toast and an almond egg custard. After ordering, we saw a group of people moving off from another table and requested to change seats. They grudgingly allowed us to do so. After the ordering and swapping seats incidences, it made me think twice bout their service.
Anyways, on to the food.
The scrambled eggs were not bad, on the saltier side though. Peanut butter toast was average, there are definitely better ones in Singapore. The best was the almond egg custard which was warm and smooth. The almond flavour complemented really well with the egg custard and as such, we didn’t feel that the almond flavouring was too strong it that it was too eggy.
So overall.. Food was ok I guess.. but more needs to be done about the quality of their service.
