thanks to burpple and folks at marmalade pantry, we dined at relatively new marmalade pantry at oasia hotel. less the glam and swankiness at ion, but also less the crowd which is good cause tables are available.
boasting new items on their already very extensive menu, the modern bistro never fail to innovate with new interpretations - lobster barley risotto is one.
polished pearl barley grains braised in lobster goodness totally does it for me here. nature of barley gives it a chewy texture and an extra touch of creaminess. to balance off, chewy texture was contrasted with the crunchiness of diced carrots, sweet garlic flowers and onions. topping it off are chunks of lobster meat and a dollop of sour cream to further balance the uber seafood sweetness risotto.
