Not the standard Japanese curry rice where you can find in most of the Japanese cafe or restaurant. This first thing that comes to my mind, whether the pink coloured rice is using natural or artificial colouring. My Melody kawaii Japanese curry rice used beetroot infused Japanese rice with pink curry, served with chicken karaage, mashed potatoes, button mushrooms, carrots and brussels sprouts. I can eat with a peace of mind as beetroot is good for our body! The Japanese rice was fluffy and soft, chicken karaage with a nice batter was crispy on the outside alongside with juicy button mushrooms and vegetables. Whilst the Japanese curry was thick, flavourful and not so spicy. This is my favourite dish from My Melody Cafe.
