The reason why we were there in the first place was because of this teochew chendol. The green jelly is made similar to spaghetti noodles instead of worm-like. It was smooth with hint of Pandan. I would say the gula melaka is really good, the smokiness, with butterscotch and caramel notes 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻. Together with the crunch and sweetness from kidney beans, can I queue again for another bowl? Don’t be turn off by the queue, it runs quickly. .

It’s also a steal to try both flavours at a price of one 😄. After tasting both flavours, I would prefer prawn noodles over lor mee. The prawn noodles broth is overwhelmed with the aroma of the sweetness of the prawns and also hae bee 😋. The lor mee had a sticky gravy broth but not much flavour. Feel free to spam the pork lard if you’re a fan! .

The auntie was very friendly and recommended some popular dishes. One of my favourite dishes from this tze char restaurant is CRABS 🦀 Crab was extremely big size with thick, chunky and firm crab meat. I can still taste the natural sweetness from the crab. The Signature sweet and sour sauce coating were not overpowering which I really enjoy it 😋👍🏻 .

The texture was softer and less crunchy as compared to standard fish balls 😋. Noodles were smooth. You can also add some thinly sliced tender pork. Soup was rather bland to my liking. There’s also one koay teow thng stall besides Tiger Char Teow. However, this is not the stall. This original stall is located few stalls away from Tiger Char Keoy Teow.

There's nothing better than a bowl of cold dessert to refresh the body. See Guo Tng (四果汤) is my favourite. This dessert contains snow fungus (optional), longan, sweet potato, ginkgo seeds, red beans and more. The syrup has a nice sugar cane sweetness, and it’s not too sweet 😋. Definitely a must try when you’re here 👍🏻

You can also opt without any innards, there are other alternatives such as duck meat, egg etc.. The meat and innards were tender, fully soaked in rich flavour of the broth, giving a deep brown colour 😋. The kueh was thick, chewy and rolled up like rice cake. Visited around 5pm on weekday, there was no queue and food was served promptly after order. .

Spot the cute little dog cookie? It's chrysanthemum pineapple tart with a nice floral scent and pineapple jam. If you like something sweet and savoury, hae bee hiam pineapple tart might be good for you! The classic original pineapple tart is shaped like a lucky golden ingot. The golden ingot pineapple tart has a nice buttery tart shell with a smooth pineapple filling. And this classic is my pick among the 3! .

We definitely can’t miss the fish. Fried Garoupa was presented in Hong Kong style, fish meat was tender and smooth with a delicate sauce and not overpowering. You can still taste the fish sweetness and it doesn’t masked the true flavour of the fish. This is part of the prosperity buffet.
