Pancakes with a Demi-glacé covered homemade beef patty with a sunny side up. Okay now we’re talking. Surprised to really enjoy this combination, especially when I’m not a Hamburg fan to begin with. Not a fan option on their menu, but this leap of faith paid off!
Battered fish & chicken on simple plain pancake. Batter could have been better executed, seasoning was a tad salty.
With a scoop of ice cream (no specks kay). 2 slices of pancake doused in coffee cream, with honey cereal clusters. Very ordinary pancakes really, nothing to rave about.
With original nut sauce, bananas aside. A speciality of the store. The sauce was interesting, creamy but not overly dense, with a subtle fragrance of coconut. Pancake texture was not fantastic, definitely consistently a tad on the dry side. (Sadly) I’m going to Clinton when I’m back!
But a wrong turn took us on the expressway which was speeding towards the city...So we decided to skip unagi (we eventually didn't have any unagi meal in Okinawa because the other one in naha was sold out by 5pm even though operation hours were till 7pm!) and went straight to our 2nd half lunch place. that's how we ended up with 2 pancake dishes! (Pancake overdose until we had to give the other famous souffle pancake at "happy pancake" on senega island a miss) the bf was mega happy with the "king bacon pancake" which came with a HUGE THICK slab of bacon ok! 👍🏻Not the thin dried bacon that we were expecting. The other bestseller was the nut nut pancake which had some nutty sauce with bananas.
