"Mi Xian" is one of the comfort food I always eager for. And I really like it to pair with flavorful soup. This soup noodle is slightly too light at its taste, although not tasteless, I still have to add some soy sauce to make it better. But it is not all bad, the come together ingredient such as vegetables are served generously. There is cabbage, lettuce, mushroom, and fungus. I had fish fillet and pork ball as my main. It was soft dory pieces. Pork ball was made by the owner, I believe. It authentic meat, you can tell, just too light at the taste. Overall it is an average bowl of noodle, but I still like it as it was the only shop that served this lot of vege, its portion and its type. Price: RM17, Food: 7/10

The geotag says Paradigm Mall, but this Foodgrazing team had our first taste of Home Noodle at home base, Sri Petaling, and we give it three thumbs up. The concept is familiar. The menu is familiar. But the 'Superior Soup' is superior in every way to the queue-laden Go Noodle's version. .
.

And look, I've tried Go Noodle multiple times at multiple branches. I've given it more second chances than Rihanna gave Chris Brown before and after getting the living shit beaten out of her (and isn't it bizarre that he still gets airplay while Aziz Ansari gets a weird awkward silence at the SAG). It's not good. End of. It's one of those weird queueing things like Sri Nirwana Maju (anywhere between mediocre to horrendous) and Yellow Brick Road (lol). .
.

But back to the good stuff. The handmade pork balls here are a must-order. They're arguably a bit on the soft-and-mushy end of the spectrum but that doesn't detract from the great texture. It's a delight to bite into. And the exploding balls are great in their own right too. If you're going to pop in my mouth, please do it this way - with a nice warm burst of rich liquid that trickles out instead of the violent explosion of heat you often get at both Yu and Go Noodle. .

The soup is a bit salty and MSG-y but not as bad as Yu gets sometimes (they admittedly struggle with consistency while Go Noodle is notable for being consistently bad). And okay, it's not an amazing soup and it's arguably a bit one note but all the pieces come together very commendably. It's a comforting soup, punctuated with some peaks of pleasurable flavour. Oh, and the noodles are quite nice. They're firmer than expected, which is a welcome change of pace from the usual Chinese denture-friendly noodz. And so with the power vested in me by myself, I dub Home Noodle worthy of entering the list of Sri P's best spots alongside hallowed members such as Menya Shi Shi Do (RIP), Sourakuya, and that Szechuan place at the corner that's below Anytime Fitness. Even though I've only tried one bowl. What can I say? I'm usually premature. .
