🍴Been seeing this on my feed a lot lately so you can only imagine how grateful I was to receive this. Their #bikaambon had an amazing bouncy and chewy texture, retaining an airiness and lightness. The top and bottom were nicely caramelized, adding to the overall texture. When chewed slowly, the eggy and coconut fragrance comes through and the family couldn’t help but keep reaching for more pieces (3/4 was gone within 30mins)! We were obsessed that it wasn’t sweet or oily at all (as expected of a honeycomb cake) which allowed the natural flavours to shine through and evidence that they do not use any artificial stuff or preservatives. However, we did think that the coconut and pandan could be slightly stronger, especially for those who prefer richer flavours. We found it best eaten fresh although fridging and resteaming it the next morning got it back to its chewy texture and oddly made it a tad sweeter.
