One store I frequent often is the House of Chicken Rice at Tanjong Pagar Plaza (level 2). Their chicken meat is so silky (even the breast meat is soft!) and flavorful. Rice is fragrant and lemon tea drinks go for only $1 each.
They are popular in the neighborhood and often sell out by mid-day so try to be there early (especially if u like drumsticks and thigh meat like me)
