Jam & Kaya Cafe really excels at fluffiness.
Check out their beautifully cooked scramble eggs🥚 - soft, fluffy and creamy - as part of the Australian Big Breakfast (RM28.90).
.
Everything else on the plate was done well too - we like that the focaccia bread strips were crispy and not too thick, and the baked beans were slightly smoked.
@thokohmakan
We enjoyed their signature Jam & Kaya's Pancake (RM17). Pancakes were soft and fluffy, and served with fresh berries and a dollop of vanilla ice-cream on top.
.
We like that the kaya and fruity jam were not overtly sweet. In fact, the kaya jam has a lighter green hue as it is made from fresh pandan.
The strawberries were not sour too - which is a plus in our books. We literally demolished the pancake stack in 5 minutes!
The best combination ever. Everything just goes so well. I love how the sweet caramelisation of banana and the cold ice cream just blends well with the soft pancake.
Starting breakfast with pancakes! This was one of the best pancakes I’ve ever had. Fluffy and moderate sweetness level. So good!
Definitely recommend this for a simple brunch date or if you're planning on having a casual gathering with friends. Prices are slightly on the pricier end, so do take note.
This cafe is situated right beside the pool of PJ Palms Sports Centre but don't be fooled, walk inside and it is an incredibly cosy affair perfect for brunchtime conversations and small gatherings.
Their food is more of a Western fare and I mainly tried out their (all-day!) breakfast menu. They also feature yuzu in some of their sodas and teas, so that was a pleasant sight.
Loved my cold chicken sandwich which surprised me with a layer of kimchi which paired brilliantly with the avocado and chicken mayo. My friend found his big breakfast platter to be hearty and had no complaints either.
Heard brilliant things about the French & Shibuya toast as well as the pancakes here, so I'm keen to come back and try those out soon.
Jam & Kaya is located within the PJ Palms Sports Centre. Apple Crumble Pancake (RM17.90). The light and fluffy pancakes were so good on their own, but brought up to another level when paired with the sweet sour caramelised apples, crunchy crumble and apple sauce. Unfortunately, they do not provide wifi but there are a number power sockets around. This cafe would definitely be one of my top places to go for some quiet me time. Ample of private parking space on the right with a fee of RM5 for all day parking.
MAIN》Farmer's Pancake : RM21 Savory pancake with honey syrup. It was decent but I would prefer the honey syrup served separately, as the pancakes got soggy over time. The hashbrown deserves some credits. If you're looking for heavy flavors this might not be the dish but it was good enough for me. Portion was fair enough but would definitely expect more for the price. 6/10
Little tips/ recommendations: You can opt for scramble eggs or sunny side up. Have the honey syrup on the side.
Love how well is the sweet and savoury work together on this plate.
Farmer breakfast. Fluffy pancake, sauteed mushroom, ham, hash brown, egg and maple syrup. 👍
Jam and Kaya's signature Mocha with Choco Balls, a cup of richly brewed Mocha with crunchy Choco balls. Once arrived, it is advised to consume as early as possible, as the Choco balls will sink into the Mocha. 😅
Jam and Kaya cafe is truly beautiful. This is a simple shot that hopefully is able to give readers a sense of coziness, and a great place for a cup of coffee.

This is Farmer's pancake breakfast. Portion was decent, everything was well cooked and it tasted really good👍Usually served with sunny side up, however they are kind enough to change it if you request for it. Definitely won't mind going for more!
Every bite is happiness where I do smile whenever I'm having this in @jam8kaya !
Now I know I am such a simple kid who can be satisfied with something sweet and not alcohol or nicotine.

Kampung style breakfast and their Farmer's pancake!
Still my favourite place but the journey to this place is quite unpleasant, due to the road works.
I didn't really like the muesli previously but it was much better on my second time.
Revisit after 4 months and their pancakes still YUMS!
The house signature, Jam & Kaya Pancake is made of pancake stacks with jam and kaya spread, fresh sliced strawberries, berries & a scoop of vanilla ice-cream.
Next the Fresh Bananas (crave for bananas out of a sudden😅) also made of stacks of fluffy pancake, fresh sliced caramelised bananas, scoop of vanilla ice cream and pour of maple syrup. .
I simply can't resist the temptation!

A warm neighbourhood cafe with presentable and yummy breakfast. I like my chillax weekend here!
Finally get to visit one of the cafe that been going wild in PJ and to my surprises that the owners are my Melbourne friend. Promised to pay them a visit and here I am. Farmer's Pancake Breakfast definitely a die to try. Nice combination with savoury and sweet. Eggs Benedict is the normal and poached eggs are perfect (hard to get good one nowadays). Coffee great too although my tastebuds went crazy on first coffee as it tasted 'rummy' but second one was awesome. Definitely coming back for many rounds.
