Kimchi Jib Express has recently opened an outlet in a coffee shop in Kovan. Just across the street from MRT station exit B. Although it is in a coffee shop, the place was actually quite cooling with lots of fans around. The outlet offers a variety of Korean dishes at pocket friendly prices with nothing above S$8.50.

Army Stew 韩国部队锅 (S$8.50)
Instant ramyeon (noodle), baked bean, sausage, luncheon meat, tteok-bokki (rice cake), radish, kimchi in spicy broth, topped with cheese. It may looked smalll but it packed lots of liao inside. Great choice especially its rare to find this dish in individual serving.

Beef Kimchi Stew 牛肉泡菜汤 (S$8)
Slices of beef, and kimchi in spicy broth.
R’s favourite ‘cos the beef very tender.

Seafood Silky Tofu Soup 香辣海鲜豆腐汤 (S$8)
Shrimp, clam, tofu, kimchi, and egg, in spicy broth.
Hearty and comforting.

Jajiang Noodles 韩式经典炸酱面 (S$6.50)
Noodle topped with thick meat sauce.

Grilled Mentaiko Ebi 明太子烤虾 (S$5)
Breaded prawn topped with seasoned cod roe sauce.

Grilled Mentaiko Tofu 明太子烤豆腐 (S$4)
Sliced tofu topped with seasoned cod roe sauce.

The stews were each served in a nostalgic gold colored aluminum pot, accompanied with rice.
All mains were served with banchan (side dish) which consisted of kimchi, mashed potato, and fish cake.
