We had bacio (hazelnut and chocolate) and black sesame. We paired it with an extra buttermilk waffle for $6. The ice cream was smooth and paired well with the waffles.
We had two bowls of signature kaisendon that came along side a choice of hot or cold green tea, salad, clam miso soup and steamed gyoza. The portion of the bowl isn’t large, the bowl is approximately the size of a hand. In the bowl, there was a mix of sashimi including fish like salmon, tuna, swordfish and other seafood like prawns, mock abalone, scallops and tako. It was also topped with seaweed and ikura. The smaller sized portion is made up with the sides which were decent. The clam soup was tasty with a decent amount of clams in it. Overall, a decent deal with a variety of food to partake.
We had the 1 for 1 brown butter waffles. The deal does not include the scoop of ice cream so we paid an extra $4.40 for the premium flavours. We had the matcha soy and milk tea and chocolate chip ice cream. The waffle was chewy with two servings of brown butter which paired nicely. The matcha soy was quite intense and heavy. Overall, a heavy and filling serving of waffles and ice cream.
We had the Iced White (only option). It usually comes with a double shot, so we ordered one cup with a single shot and one cup with a double shot. It was quite a smooth cup of coffee, but personally i preferred it with a single shot as it tasted more milky. The coffee comes without sugar and syrup, so if you’d like to sweeten it you can ask the staff for some syrup to sweeten it to your liking.
