"Ya Cheng Carrot Cake" use to be located in Lavender Food Square but since that building has closed down, they moved just across the road to Sing Hin Huat Kopitiam (52 Foch Road). Both black and white versions of the fried carrot cake are offered, in $3 or $4 portions. I had a small order of the latter with extra chilli and thought it was scrumptious. The texture of their carrot cake itself is cottony soft which contrasted very well with the crunchy radish bits, and they're generous with the egg. Some places fry their white version of the carrot cake till very crisp (I am not a fan of that style myself) but theirs remains soft yet fragrant. If you have similar taste as me, this is worth a try.
Recommended by ieatishootipost, decided to check it out. Would say that this is one of the good fried hokkien prawn noodles!
Back for the soup version because in all honesty, the soup here rules! Virtually opaque from brewing the prawns and other secret good ingredients for what I suspect is forever (ok, I may be exaggerating somewhat), it is one of the best around in my humble opinion.
