Dine with an open mind & surely the food will be even tastier! I'm Kim Korean BBQ is a newly open BBQ buffet restaurant in town! At the district of art schools and private institutes. They're having a student lunch promotion now with every student pass present at the counter, your lunch buffet only cost $12.90(++).

Selection of many different marinated meats like (Chicken, Beef & Pork) and other savories cooked food as well as the standard greens at the side. This is not the best Korean BBQ I've tried but it is a place to consider when you are in need of a place to have Korean BBQ for your convenience! 😄

The BBQ buffet here might well be the most affordable buffet around. At only $14.90++ for lunch on weekdays and $24.90++ for dinner, K.COOK makes a great place for dining in groups and eating till you drop without burning a hole in your pocket. The meats are well-marinated and come in a good variety. With great value and a good selection, they're really bringing in the crowds - so be prepared to queue!

If you're looking for a simple, healthy, satisfying meal, these soups are the perfect choice. This stall in Bukit Timah Market sells 6 different kinds of soup everyday. At $3 - $4, these soups do not contain any MSG and are light and tasty. Besides the soups, also try the Steamed Pork Ribs with Black Beans ($3.50).

While it's almost certain that the Hougang and Bedok communities are already well-acquainted with this neighborhood favourite, the rest of the city might not yet be. The food is cheap and tasty, and the ambience friendly and relaxing. Highly recommended dishes include the Pad Thai at $5, thick-based Tom Yam at $6 (really hot) and stir-fried Mince Pork with Basil ($6).

At just $8.80, this lunch set of 4 Xiao Long Baos, 1 bowl of noodles and a drink will leave you satisfied. The noodles come in a generous portion with 5 versions to choose from -- Noodles A and E are recommended. For supper, the steamboat buffet with unlimited XLB is crazy good value! From 10.15pm - 12.30pm, it's only $16.80 for adults.

Located in a row of shophouses in Braddell Heights estate, La Pizzaiola serves up wholesome, authentic Italian fare. Here, the homey ambience is perfect for enjoying a romantic evening of great food, without burning a hole in your wallet. Their 12" pizzas go for $14-17, pastas for $13-15, and house wine for just $8 a glass! Go for the Parma & Rucola Pizza ($16.90), and choose your own pasta and sauce combination.

Hailed as one of the best places for Korean Fried Chicken (KFC) in town, it requires lots of patience to nab a table during peak hours. The fried chicken here comes in three flavours: original, sweet and special garlic soy sauce. Go for the Combo Chicken Set to try them all. The chicken is pretty addictive with its crunchy exterior and juicy meat, and the coating of sauce completes the experience. Besides KFC, they serve dishes like buckwheat noodles, stews, and oden. However, your best bet is sticking to what they're known for. Don't expect a huge variety of banchan as they keep it simple!

Sweet Pancakes with caramel and cinnamon with ice-cream on top for the sweet tooths. Love the chewiness of the pancake which was pretty much like a less stiff version of the rice cakes but the ice-cream felt weak being more of a sorbet and was rather icy.

What's more fun than having Patbingsu? Patbingsu in an ice beaker of course! Each Patbingsu I have had seemed to have different ingredients; this one has raisins, cornflakes, milk, ice-cream, Azuki beans and Soy Bean powder. Combine everything together; the sweetness ain't too cloying for a cold dessert which makes it refreshing. The lack of rice cakes also makes this seemingly more manageable in portion-size, but it would still help if you bring a partner or two.

Three delish variations of the new Gula Melaka Kouign Amann from Tiong Bahru Bakery outlets. They are Crushed Peanuts and Gula Melaka, Chocolate and Gula Melaka, and lastly Grated Coconut and Gula Melaka Kouign Amann.

These exciting new bakes are inspired by Chef Cherrier's recent Gontran Goes Local campaign and visit in Singapore. If you're a big fan of Gula Melaka and Kouign Amann, I'm pretty sure you will love these baked goods too.
