Food Hunt Around Singapore
Last dinner of 2016. Lucky I have called to make a reservation. Weekend dinner premium is $30.70+ per pax and add free flow of drink and ice cream at $4.90. Changed to corn and chicken soup after 2 round of cheesy pot. Cheese just taste so good with any food! Would go back to eat again.
Went there slightly before 5.30pm and no queue. Ordered this macaroni with 3 eggs and luncheon meat, taste good but feel eggs overdose, maybe should try with shredded chicken next time. No service charge and gst. $30 on dinner for 2 include drink and egg tart!
Portion generous for the tender pork soup and they keep filling up the soup. Reasonable price.
The not so simple Swiss roll for $6.90 per pcs. Flavor like Thai milk tea and salted caramel, Abit ex but worth a try. Hidden gem under HDB.
Cheap and simple claypot dishes. All for $20 plus 2 drink. Sesame chicken worth a try.
Surprised by this Japanese restaurant. The food is affordable and surprisingly quite delish. It wouldn't be over-the-top amazballs. But it certainly one of the better ones. The rice is steamed and so fluffy, with load of great flavors of chicken bits and mushrooms. The tempura is good enough. And if they have chawamushi in their set, that's a bonus! Cause I supposed all girls love chawamushi. Although it's on the slightly saltier side.
Found it abit pricey ($7-8 per slice) and taste was okay. Wasn't something that impressed us.
Found this hidden gem in Alexandra food market! Affordable and generous portion of $6 bak ku teh, enough for 2!
Thai coconut Ice cream($5.80)~Interesting to watch how nitrogen was used to freeze the ice cream! every mouth can taste the coconut bits, no wonder it was premium choice! Current 1-for-1 promo till 30nov!
First time eating Sarawak laksa ($6).. Unlike our Usual Singapore laksa.. This was "lighter" in taste but flavourful~something new to try! 😀
Glad to find this cosy and affordable place serving good Vietnamese food~the meatball ($3), fresh spring roll ($3.50), pork chop rice ($7) and vermicelli with pork chop, meatball and fried spring roll ($7.90) we ordered was 😋! Do try their salted lemonade and yogurt drink, it was so refreshing! Can't wait to go back again to try their pho!
Taste comparable to Dian Xiao Er but definitely cheaper. Would be better if the sauce is hot. Walkable distance from city square.. Good place for lunch or dinner.
