Whilst this may appear to be a badly taken photograph with unintentional #handinframe, I would argue that this was actually a masterfully orchestrated and professionally crafted shot - I was going for Halloween-inspired Freddy Krueger feels. Really.
Think atas Malay hawker fare as reimagined by one of them makciks from Nasi Lemak Kukus if she fancies you as a cutie. The lobster was happily grilled and the sambal was both spicy and sweet, like said makciks from said place.

While the massive, unyielding lobster flesh could be an anti-gym poster boy proving that there’s such a thing as being too big, the avocado gelato with gula melaka is essentially the gustatory equivalent of love-making with your throat and tongue. Unbelievably amazing.

Delectably smoky lobster chunks, but the star of the show was certainly the very deviant and devilish sambal chilli smeared across the plate, which tasted like the sambal from the Boston lobster bakar (also available on the menu) undergone a midriff-baring, havoc clubbing/smoking phase after meeting the wrong happening crowd. So hot, yet you can’t stop, and you won’t stop.

Looks like a fairly standard (if slightly thrifty) Chinese fried rice save for the presence of bacon instead of your usual prawns et al, but then with just one spoonful your mouth is instantly under durian's pungent siege, and your inner mouth will detect the invisible but unmistakable gloopy durian coating. You need to love durian to enjoy this, as nothing else (the bacon is admirably willing but the flesh is weak) carries the dish. 3.5/5

Delivered exactly what was promised on the label – nothing more, nothing less. Indistinguishable from any of the other notable crab places, which isn’t a bad thing at all for a buffet crab. The mantous deserve social influencer contracts for being absolutely motivational and engaging. 3.8/5 (aggregate score)

Summary: The buffet experience is comparable to an attractive young girl trying on different types of makeup from Mummy’s dresser. Her inherent beauty means no amount of bad or improperly applied lipstick or mascara can actually make her look as foul as an unshowered gap-toothed zebra, but different makeup does produce varying levels of attractiveness. 3.8/5 (aggregate score).
