Fresh, sweet Sri Lankan Crab wok-fried in thick, luscious & creamy salted egg sauce, curry leaves and chilli padi.
The sauce's so good, I had to stop myself from grabbing the plate and lick it clean.
[East Coast Lagoon Food Village] Continuing on my hawkerhopping initiative with some Hwa Kee Barbeque Pork Noodles ($6 portion). First time trying it and the star of the dish definitely has to be the char siew which they prepared in the stall. Sweet, slightly charred and super addictive. Why have you only appeared in my life after so long?
At stall number #02-44 was this stall that sells both fishball ball noodles and Yong tau foo. It's peculiar mixture of the Yong tau foo soup and the fishball soup was what that made the food special. The ingredients were fresh and chili& sweet sauce were also particularly good. Another chinese "fusion" food found in the hawker heaven, Tiong Bahru market. Shall try out their dry version next time!
Heading to @diamondkitchensg in a bit for a belated Father's Day celebration lunch, and my mouth is already watering with the anticipation of all the goodness that will be entering it.
One of the signatures since day 1 of Diamond Kitchen's opening is this dish of rice vermicelli braised until soft and silky in Chef's superior stock and Chinese rice wine, then tossed with loads and loads of fresh, briny clams. The mollusks are cooked just perfectly, not at all rubbery.
Oh so soft and smooth, it crumbles with every spoonful. Featuring the most velvety beancurd I've had in Singapore. Only for $1.
