Bedok Eats
What a great find! Meat was supple and fresh, while the bee hoon was thick with flavor without feeling the lard being dragged down your throat. All this for $29.90! Definitely will be back again.
[Katong Sin Chew Cake Shop] I am not kidding you when I say this is one of the best traditional bakeries in Singapore. Situated a few units away from Fat Cat Ice Cream Bar, the storefront might seem unassuming or uninviting. However, each time I am near the area, the aroma of freshly baked bread and buns will somehow hook me over and unknowingly I will start walking towards that direction. You will usually need to queue to make your order and will end up buying enough buns to fill a box. One of my favourites is the Curry Bun ($1.30), a curry mix of potatoes and a bite-sized chicken encased in a soft fluffy bun. One mouthful later and you will know why my entire family has been eating it for many years. This is one bakery that never fails to bring a smile to my face whenever my mum brings back a box.

How often do you get to see this in Singapore nowadays? It is slowly becoming a lost trade and we must preserve its heritage now for the future generations. If you happen to be around the Bedok vicinity, do drop by the Bedok North 216 market to have a try at this old school snack.
Thoroughly enjoyed the rich and aromatic stock and every mouthful was well-drenched. 3 different types of noodles were fried evenly and complemented each other!
And yes, I am a fan of the wet version.
Taste of prawn paste was really strong and prominent. The skin so flavorful, crispy and meat very juicy! If we wasn't visiting so many places that day, I think I could easily conquer at least 3-4 pieces! •
