Goreng pisang (fried banana).

Lightly battered banana and deepfried. Outer layer thin and crispy whilst the banana was fat, sweet and juicy. Best way to enjoy was to eat it piping hot. If only you could here that "crack" sound and the steam whizzing out from the banana. Hard to find yummy goreng pisang these days.

A perfect egg which caused me to be so "eggcited". Smooth silky tofu immersed in all that broth. Red hot and smoking. Spicy level was medium but the heat was pretty much manageable.

Thai boat noodle. Very minute portion in each bowl. Two kinds of broth.. pathumthani which was dark soya sauce base and ayutthaya, a somewhat creamy and atad spicy broth. Comes with beef or chicken. As you can see, ingredients are like miniscule. One person can finish the four bowls. We preferred the pathumthani for its more flavorful aromatic broth.

House made tagliatelle with roma tomato, asparagus, shiso, green peas and kale. Loved the freshness and aldente pasta. A slight tangyness with subtle crunch from the peas. This is one pasta dish I would eat again because I love anything tomatoes.

Rummaging in my fridge, there were fresh meekia (noodles), chicken, veges and my sambal chilli which I prepared days ago. So I whipped up my version of chicken noodle. I braised the chicken in black sauce till tender. Then noodles bungee jumped in and out of boiling water. Finally splosh abit of fish sauce, sambal chilli and the gravy from the braised chicken. Toss toss toss, mix thoroughly till every strand is lovingly coated. And wala! My homemade chicken noodle.

Nothing fancy mancy. Twin dollops; earl grey and baileys brownie speculoos. The waffle looked overdone but surprisingly it did not have the burnt aftertones. Ice cream was atad sweet for my not so sweettooth.

Let me start with the good. Charsiew even though it is not charred, it is tasty. The heat from the chilli was probably the "icing on the cake". But alas, I did not even finish half the bowl which is totally rare. The seasonings and wantons were salty. Most of the charsiew untouched. And it is not me to waste food. Haiz... I say this with a heavy heart. Please gloved up! ◾◽
It has a potential of a good bowl of wanton noodles if sodium was reduced. Practise basic food hygiene handling. I believe this is not their first outlet.

This stall has been around for a long time. A very simple and quick fry of the kway teow. Topped with lots of boiled chye sim (mustard leaves). The kway teow bears little or no hint of "wokhei". Nevertheless, I did like the greens.

The long one has a spinach filling with a subtle vege aftertaste. The round one contains crab. Abit weak in "crabby" tones. It is crispy, for sure.

Actually my heart and tastebuds were set on claypot chicken rice. After seeing the size of the claypot, my tummy protested.

This under the radar wanton mee stall had some good reviews. So ya ... here I go again ... "wantonmeeing". The noodles were springy and wonderfully aldente. Charsiew had no fats, no char , so it is pretty much ordinary. The chiili sauce was fiery and quite addictive. I do love the noodles for its total eggyness with no alkaline undertones.

Quite a more than decent bowl of noodles. Small bowl and I felt hungry after like a couple of hours.
