Food Hunt In Hong Kong
is handmade and delivered daily fresh from Kyoto, Japan to the Hong Kong outlet. There's only 15-16 sets available each day, so unless you come early else you might not be able to grab one!! Authentic way to sample the soft yet chewy mochi will be to eat it plain first, but you can also dip it in brown sugar or matcha honey syrup for a sweeter experience.
P.S: since it's located on 18th floor of The One, you get a picturesque view of HKG too! #bestfoodmemory2015
You'll see pictures or even videos of them, all over Instagram, but vomiting Gudetama is by far the "cutest" one. While its insta-worthy, I can only say that's it is 好看不好吃 as the liu sha is too creamy and bun is too thick.
A platter of homemade treats with both matcha and hojicha chiffon cakes, mochi balls, matcha ice cream, red beans and a glazed chestnut. Chiffon cake was airy light and stands out the most especially the hojicha version. Ice cream was velvety smooth but more creamy in taste, while red beans was just right.
Simple breakfast with creamy scrambled egg toast. Together with a cup of warm milk/almond drink (hkd18) that concludes our super impromptu trip. Tip: reach here before 8am to avoid long queue for breakfast!!
Creates a lovely treat but melts pretty quickly. Few stores away from Hang Heung Bakery (famous for Wife biscuit aka 老婆饼), you can satisfy your soft serve craving and get the local snack.
Crazy things we'll do when at Disneyland. Waffles comes with maple syrup and jam. Will it might not be the best waffles around but the cute waffle shape is the reason why we will get it!!
Lord Stow's Bakery has a branch conveniently located at Shop 870 Mask Street, Venetian Macao. Even late in the evening, there's a queue for the signature egg tarts (hkd10). Rich creamy egg custard pair with crispy layers of flaky pastry, you'll feel happiness in every bite 😍
Note: those not going Macau can also get it at Excelsior Hotel, Causeway Bay 😉
Made of locally sourced ingredients, the coffee is more of acidic taste but balance out with strong salted caramel.
Saw @misstamchiak post on this local Hong Kong cafe at Mongkong and was tempted by the Signature Polo Bun aka 菠蘿包 (hkd6). Freshly baked polo bun comes with a thick slice of butter, had a crusty top layer that's SUPER DELICIOUS! The fluffy interior is also a plus point.
Landed in Hong Kong and our first stop was to try this utterly cute Gutetama dim sum that's viral on the Net now. Luckily for us there wasn't a queue and we were quickly seated. However, seeing all the cute items we went "wild" and ordered much more than we could finish. Out of all the dishes we tried, the best we felt were Steamed pork dumplings with scallop Gutetama (hkd59) and Gutetama custard tarts (hkd39). Former was filled with juicy minced meat while latter has crusty butter tart bases.

A bit of sweetness can drown out a whole load of bitterness. So I’m always having sweets 🧁🍧🍡 Instagram/ TikTok: Cassakating
