Truffle Fries

Normally I don't bother to write review but after this experience, the management should look into it to improve on their standards in order to survive the cafe scene in Singapore. 1st trip, kitchen close way before 9.30pm, only food available during that hour was waffles & ice cream. it is stated last order 30mins before closing, therefore we make a trip down. Note: cafe close at 10pm. 2nd trip, don't go there with a empty stomach! Expect a 30min or more wait for mains or order some sides first for the hungry peeps. Paid and place our orders of 5 pastas, to our dismay, no more pasta we have to change our orders. (So no more pasta for dinner crowd?!, which was true, when I overheard a girl telling her friends, no more pasta. In the end, they shared a waffles) When paying for our new orders, we were inform they have enough spaghetti for one more plate of pasta. (Where is the communication with the 1 chef/cook?!) We manage to have two plates of pasta (dry crab meat linguine & aglio olio with smoked duck), they come in good portion but it is DRY. The Bbq pork rib meat came TOUGH, it's lotsa bbq sauce onto of a slice of pork (twb platter have a larger slice of pork rib). Fish & chip, wasn't that bad, crispy on the outside, soft inside. Spam fries was acceptable, wasn't too salty. Salted egg wings smells good. If u like chewy, crispy (HARD) s'mores waffles u can give it a try other wise order the waffles with ice cream, lychee ice cream was good. Their signature truffle fries was good. Taste: 6/10, Crowd: doesn't seem to stop (drop by during a weekend), limited seating/chairs so expect to wait for big group or make a reservation! Service: girl 1 was really nice, helpful & attentive (wondering if she is the boss), girl 2 was blur when taking our new orders, girl 3 wasn't very welcoming after telling us kitchen is closed (too bad folks, we are closing soon). Glad we went there with a 20% discount, which can be use multiple times/ multiple orders. Bonus promo for drinkers: 3 bottles of craft beer for $30, comes with fries. We chance upon this cafe via straits times.
