Food With Good Value

The soya chicken noodles at Hawker Chan truly blew me away. I usually shun soya sauce chicken with noodles because it's either the chicken isn't properly cooked or the meat is filled with bones or the noodles aren't springy enough.

This one at Hawker Chan surprised me because the noodles were crunchy and it doesn't stick together. The sauce control was just right. The chicken meat was very tender and almost boneless. It's a very pleasant dining experience and changed my perspective of soya sauce chicken noodles.

A friend brought me here and I really like their evening deals because there is free flow alcohol! Even for a non alcoholic person like me, I enjoy the occasional cold brews and it helps that the Japanese hotpot broth is really clean and healthy. It's a classic Japanese hang out for casual meet ups and long chats with hot food to match the rainy weather when I was there.

This porcini mac and cheese really takes mac and cheese level up one notch. It's served with caviar and scallops and cost less than $20. This is exceedingly good value for the ingredients used. I felt the portions were just right and the level of cheesiness not overly excessive making the dish easy to enjoy. It's by far the most value for money mac and cheese I've tried! Tried this pork ribs at Pasarbella as I have a weakness for them. At $19.90 it can be considered quite good value considering other ribs would cost me above $25. I found the ribs to be rather tasty and the meat falls off the bones quite easily. It's a little charred which creates this thirstiness in me throughout the meal. Not the healthiest choice I suppose. It's still an ideal way to satisfy your pork ribs craving if you don't want to burst your budget.

Very nice noodles with equally appetizing broth. I really like the taste of the wontons and the dumplings were awesome as well as the price. I'll be back again!
