My favourite was Melaka!! Really interesting because each coffee really had a distinct taste and lightness and it's quite fun to try them and decide on which one suits your taste.

Quite big xlbs that check off almost all the good stuff I look for in XLBs - juicy meat, generous soup, thin skin.

This unassuming quiet restaurant along beach road (took forever but I finally found the location tag!!) serves up a pretty mean plate of mapo tofu - I actually preferred it to shisen hanten's rendition because I felt that the favours were more subtle (the shisen hanten one is very in-your-face mala and your tongue is almost guaranteed to be numb). I guess it's up to personal preference!

Everyone's familiar with DTF's xiao long baos right? I love them~ Also, if you get one that's broken you can ask for a new one.

The pork ribs are abit too tough and the soup is abit too peppery, but my grandpa loves the food here!!! It might just be a matter of personal preference.
