Perfectly juicy and tender fried chicken pieces drenched in creamy golden gravy. The butter milk is served bubbling hot in a claypot. A truly satisfying meal that goes well with a steaming hot bowl of white rice or maybe 2 bowls.
The fish is deep fried till its skin forms a cookie like crust. The skin is so crunchy that as you press your fork into it, you can hear it crackling.
What makes this dish so different and so special is that the fish is coated with layers of egg prior to frying, resulting in a meat floss like blanket over its crispy skin. It has the 'pang-ness' (which means 'aroma' in hokkien) of a traditional fried Chinese cracker. My mouth watered in anticipation as I wait for my bowl of rice to be served. RM36.25
Boneless chicken strips battered then deep fried and drenched in their tantalising delicious special black pepper sauce. The sauce has that sunset-orange colour which is ever so sweet, so savoury, packed with umami, so addictive you won't be surprised if you can finish your whole bowl of rice with just this dish. I guarantee you that there is no Chinese restaurants out there which makes this dish like GoodTaste do, as the chef here is well known for his good flavouring skills in his sauces. Safe to say this is one of the best Chinese restaurant in Connaught.
