The Norwegian salmon was soft, moist, and pink throughout. Enjoyed the texture but found it to have a mild fishy aroma. It came atop a rosti that was ultra crisp but consequently a tad dry, and a generous serving of fresh watercress and rocket salad. Enjoyed the pairing with nutty crunchy pistachio, juicy pops of pomegranate, and refreshing citrus mint mayo.

We added scrambled eggs (+$2) which were adequately creamy but pretty average and this made for a decently filling portion for us 2 girls. Would be keen to try the other items in this Melbourne-inspired cafe and return for more coffee.

Fluffy and soft brioche toasted to have a crisp exterior. Enjoyed the rich cinnamon flavour and balance of sweetness from the caramelised banana and candied walnuts with the sour strawberries and blueberries. Found the bread a tad dry (probably would be better with the +$4 vanilla ice cream) and lacking in egg flavour. But overall, satisfying without being too cloying!

Generous and yummy spread of scrambled eggs, tater tots, bacon, sautรฉed mushrooms, chorizo, side salad, and sourdough. Enjoyed the ultra crisp tater tots and silky eggs (could have been creamier) but found the items to be on the oiler and saltier side. The sourdough was also a tad tough.

The rosti was extremely crispy (basically fried), and consequently a tad dry. The MVP was their pungent garlic aioli served on the side. Also wished the egg was a bit more runny to offer a creamy contrast to the potatoes.

๐‚๐ก๐š๐ซ๐œ๐จ๐š๐ฅ ๐ฐ๐š๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐ฅ๐ž ($6) + ๐ข๐œ๐ž ๐œ๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ฆ ($7/ double scoop) - Their waffle was by far the best item we tried that day - crisp on the outside and fluffy and soft within; everything we want out of a waffle. We had the chrysanthemum and blue pea ice cream. Both were on the sweeter side and could do with more prominent flavour profiles. Between them, we preferred the blue pea as its slight saltiness paired nicely with the waffle.

Cosy space offering relatively affordable mains (~$8-10) of Indonesian house specials, burgers, and traditional brunch.

๐’๐ฆ๐š๐ฌ๐ก ๐œ๐ก๐ข๐œ๐ค๐ž๐ง (4 โญ๏ธ; $7) - this was their most popular speciality dish - delicious fried chicken tossed with an addictive mix of crunchy skin and tender meat. One can choose from spicy level 0 to 12, and we tried both level 2 and level 6. At level 2, it already packed a considerable fiery punch while 6 warmed the tummy๐ŸŒถ (please let me know if you ever try level 12!). It was served with fluffy and highly fragrant coconut rice, fried egg, and cucumber. The tumeric and blue pea rice were pretty similar with the former having a slight tinge of tumeric flavour.

๐Œ๐š๐ญ๐œ๐ก๐š ๐ฅ๐š๐ญ๐ญ๐ž (4 โญ๏ธ; $4.80/$5.80) - Enjoyed the cold and creamy drink that was great for balancing out the spice. It reminded us of a matcha version of milo dinosaur as some matcha powder had clumped together and wasnโ€™t fully dissolved but we enjoyed the rich matcha flavour and that it wasnโ€™t too sweet.

๐…๐š๐ง๐ ๐ค๐จ ๐‚๐จ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐ž๐ž (3.5 โญ๏ธ; $4.50/$8) - Freshly brewed espresso sweetened with natural palm sugar. Wasnโ€™t overly sweet but we personally found it on the milkier side.

Felt that the generous portion of shredded beef could have been more tender, and the hollandaise could have been richer to balance out the beef marination. Enjoyed the tasty brioche and pairing with juicy and flavourful sautรฉed mushrooms.

๐’๐ฎ๐ซ๐Ÿ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐Ÿ ๐ญ๐จ๐ฐ๐ž๐ซ ($21.50) - Good option for those who canโ€™t decide between salmon and beef. The scrambled eggs were creamy and silky, the smoked salmon was average, while the beef was similar as above. Only issue was the English muffins were a tad dry and dense.

Their speciality ๐‚๐ซ๐š๐œ๐ค ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐๐š๐ฐ๐ง ($7.50; 3.5 โญ๏ธ) was a gorgeous pink-orange-purple gradient drink when served that unfortunately did not last the takeaway journey. Definitely one for the aesthetics, we found our taste buds perplexed by the mix of strawberry coullis, orange juice, butterfly pea tea, and soda. Some mouthfuls were more predominant in strawberry while others tasted a bit like tonic water ๐Ÿ˜… but nonetheless, we enjoyed this refreshing drink perfect for the hot weather.

๐Œ๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐š๐ข๐ค๐จ ๐‚๐ซ๐จ๐ช๐ฎ๐ž๐ญ๐ญ๐ž๐ฌ (3.5 โญ๏ธ; $6.90) - Crisp breadcrumb exterior encasing soft mashed potatoes and vegetables. Personally felt that it could do with richer flavour with the drizzle of creamy mentaiko not doing enough to elevate the dish.

The batter was crisp and crunchy, and while we enjoyed the lean cuts, that came at the expense of less tender bites. The cutlet sat atop fluffy Japanese rice coated in a fragrant sweet-spicy Japanese curry. Generously topped with their mentaiko, personally felt that it could do without the sauce given that the curry overpowered it. Overall, would recommend this (although not sure how itโ€™ll hold up in take away)!
