Swedish meatballs ($17.90)
⭐️ 4/5 ⭐️
🍴Any fans of ikea meatballs? These were like the iconic balls, but amped up with prominent mala spices and herbs, and paired with classic lingonberries. Served with sesame salad and mashed potato. Did feel that the latter could do with more seasoning and creaminess but an overall enjoyable dish.

P.S Loved the decor and open space of At3 which allowed for a comfortable and relaxing afternoon.

𝐁𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 (3 ⭐️; $9) - Fragrant and thick slices of red onions encased in a crisp and airy batter, paired with hearty ketchup and addictive sriracha mayo. However, personally found the batter on the thicker side such that it overpowered the onions and made this taste more like mini savory donuts.

𝐒𝐢𝐝 𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐫 (4 ⭐️; $15) with impossible patty (+$3) - Classic bbq burger done well! Was highly impressed by the grill on the patty that allowed for elements of smoky crusty exterior while retaining some some juiciness. The flavourful bbq marination made it near impossible (😉) to distinguish this from regular beef. Paired with jelapeno relish, apple coleslaw, pickled red onions, and sriracha mayo for that satisfying bite.

Offering a range of craft teas, we highly enjoyed all the drinks that were fragrant, and with just the right sweetness level.

𝐀𝐥𝐨𝐡𝐚 𝐬𝐮𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞 (4 ⭐️; $5.50) - Refreshing tropical drink combining jasmine green tea with lime, orange, apple, pineapple, and passionfruit juice. Love the use of natural fruit juices instead of syrup and mint leaves for added freshness.

𝐈 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐁𝐄𝐑𝐑𝐘 𝐦𝐮𝐜𝐡 (3.5 ⭐️; $5.50) - The tea element was on the lighter side but the berry lovers among us enjoyed the predominant berry flavour from the mulberry, raspberry, and blueberry purée.

🍴Lovely cafe ambience with cosy seating that makes for a chill place to relax when in town. Overall, average and forgettable fare that’s probably only worth considering as a pre-/post-meal option with Burpple Beyond.

Opted for the 1-1 cake and honey drink which worked out to $6.70/set. Preferred the ondeh ondeh cake that had distinct pandan aroma paired with gula melaka and desiccated coconut over the plainer and milkier mille crepe. The cakes went well with the warm and comforting honey yuzu and honey ginger.

Highly recommend their desserts! The 𝐂𝐨𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐮𝐭 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐂𝐚𝐤𝐞 ($10) was soft and airy in texture with delicious chewy bites from the desiccated coconut. Paired with refreshing coconut ice cream and gula melaka. 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐭𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐞𝐬𝐬 ($13) was my favourite with the coconut yogurt paired with tropical fruits and crisp homemade meringue that perfectly melted in the mouth.

𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐊𝐞𝐛𝐚𝐛𝐬 (V; $15) - Tender vegan kebabs served with homemade sauce. Enjoyed the flavourful and sticky peanut-lemongrass-kaffir mix but would have appreciated slightly more spice and smokiness to the kebabs.

𝐁𝐢𝐠 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐟𝐚𝐬𝐭 ($20): Hearty spread that included a slice of country sourdough, sautéed mushrooms, generously-sized bockwurst sausage, scrambled eggs, hummus, and pickles. Our favourite was the silky eggs and sautéed mushrooms - tasty and well done. The sourdough had a subtle and not overpowering sour tang and was nicely toasted. That said, there are distinct fermentation and shaping issues. It was also slightly dense, but alright when paired with the heavier breakfast items. Not so much a fan of the hummus and sausage - the natural chickpea flavours were overwhelmed by the pungency of the garlic, and the sausage had the frozen, processed taste 😅.

𝐆𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝 ($16.50) - Enjoyable flatbread that was airy and soft with slight crisp exterior (did wish for slightly more char from the grill). Paired with sage pesto, fresh and juicy roasted and heirloom tomatoes, toasted walnuts, and soft creamy burrata. Did feel that the pesto and burrata were somewhat stingy in portion.

𝐁𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐦 𝐍𝐚𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐦𝐲𝐞𝐨𝐧 🇰🇷 (3.5 ⭐️; $20)- Asian-Western fusion with the use of cold cappelini pasta. While enjoyable with a healthy and flavourful mix of various ingredients in a gochugang-sesame sauce, did wish for a spicier kick, more tender grilled beef, and less salty salted kombu.

𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐤𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐤𝐚 🇹🇳 (4 ⭐️; $18)- Always a fan of shashuka and this was a good rendition with the sweet-sour tomatoes enhanced by various spices to create a rich and complex sauce base. The lamb meatballs were nicely tender and not gamy.

𝐇𝐮𝐞𝐯𝐨𝐬 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐬 🇨🇴 (4.5 ⭐️; $16) - First time trying this unique Colombian dish and highly enjoyed it! Soft tomato-infused scrambled eggs flavoured with onion, bell pepper, scallion, and feta cheese sat atop a crisp garlic flatbread. It reminded us of comfort chinese style tomato-egg drop soup with a Western twist.
