In the past, my parents will always bring me to this shop for herbal jelly near waterloo street after our praying at the famous 四马路 temple and this has been a childhood dessert.

Moving forward to almost 20 years later, i see more of herbal jelly shops popping out along the streets. But the herbal jelly from this long-standing shop is still going strong with soild flavour!

Finally a savoury japanese bun arrives on Singapore Takashimaya Food Hall apart from the usual sweet treats. Bought 3 flavours to try and we asked for it to be hot, pumpkin, white raddish and . Savoury pumpkin fillings is a surprise because it is usually a sweet one but is abit dry. The white raddish one was really good, it tasted like the chinese soon kueh that everyone is familar with. While the last one tasted like the salted mui choy(mei cai) but at a more subtle taste. I would say generally the buns are not too bad, portion is quite big also with really generous fillings.

Available in 4 different flavours but left with only peanut when we reach around 12pm. Peanut fillings was very fragance and full of peanut flavour with sugar that is just of the right sweetness. But the texture of the pandan-flavoured mee chang kueh skin was a little tough, probably this last piece was left on the board quite sometimes ago. Will give their other flavours another try the next time!

Finally jumping into the banwagon to try the hyped θ„θ„εŒ…. Instead of the usual crossiant base, we opted for the custard puff base at the Original Cake with chocolate flavour as the only choice. Custard puff was coated with a thick layer of chocolate sauce and sprinkled with another thick layer of chocolate powder. The custard is definitely filling up the whole puff as it will stain my face everytime when i had a bite on the puff. Together with the double chocolate combo, this dirty custard puff has miximise it potential to β€œdirty” its eater! Probably will give the matcha dirty crossiant bun a try if i am at the right mood.

Took the ride of Honest Bee promotion 12 for $12. OMG, what a steal man! Delivered in 20mins and just in time to make our movie snacks at the comfort of our home. Nothing to complain on its softness of this world famous doughnut, still love their original glazed the best!

Surprise treat from one of our company’s partner. Dense and moist muffin all the way from tanjong pagar. Despite the look, the texture was quite moist and light. Fresh from oven as it was still lukewarm when it reaches my hand. Picked the blueberry flavour, and one can find some blueberry fruits baked within it. Love the slightly crisp outer layer of the top muffin.

The bakery aroma always flow out from this bakery shop whenever i was on my way to work at bukit batok. Decide to try their kaya puff for breakfast this morning. Flaky crust and comes with a layer of thin kaya in between. Look forward to try the other pastry from this shop.

Score some cream puff for high tea on friday afternoon to pre-celebrate TGIF. Thick hokkaido fresh cream paired with the matcha custard cream create a double fantasy to the tastebud!

Finally tried the anniversary limited edition matcha custard pancake from Mr Bean. Not too sweet, coupled with a tinge of tea bitterness taste. Filling was full to the brim as usual, can someone write in a pertition to make this a permenant item pls? πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Simple food for breakfast that is readily available within our reach. Picked the azuki red bean flavour. Filling was quite substantial and you can chew on the bean but a tad on the dry side. Probably the fridge is too cold and dried out all the moisture from it.

Toppings picked: Maple Pecan Granola, Kiwi, Sliced Almonds, Coconut Flakes and Pumpkin Seeds.

Comes with either a mixture of both ice cream and pudding or just ice cream. The black soy bean ice cream is quite ok, the black element of Dofu has invited quite a fair bit ppl. Personally, i prefer the black soy ice cream because the pudding did not taste like pudding but rather watery tau huey.
