Since we didn't have time to have roast goose in town, we squeezed in lunch at Yung Kee in the airport before boarding the plane. I still love the roast goose at Yung Kee but it was not as tasty as the one from Kam's Kitchen or Kam's Roast Goose. I would also stick to roast goose, the char siu was disappointing.

The restaurant is actually at one far corner, so do make sure you have ample time and take the train there. On the way back, you will have to walk.

I typically do not like almond but the hang yan cha in Hong Kong is really very yummy. The taste of almond is more subtle and refined. The addition of tong yuen also made the dessert more complete.

I generally prefer the Hong Kong version. It is lighter in texture and has a more distinct taste of molasses. The ma lai kou here was exactly the way I loved it - light and not too sweet, with a hint of caramel 😍.

This was the first dish served and the minute I tasted it, I knew that we had found a new (to us at least) and exciting restaurant to return to. Very tasty and yet refined.

The brioche edges were evenly browned and crisp to the bite. It was already very tasty on its own but the vanilla ice cream completed the dish 😋.

The server suggested that I used the bread to wipe the pan clean. Such a great idea! I'm sure the garlic butter was not good for my waistline but what the heck!
