I actually enjoyed my plate of duck noodles (7.50+ RM) very much, & would return here again. However, I do think your experience depends on your luck - which part of the duck you get, & how moist/juicy it is.

One thing's for sure - don't sit at table 8, which is all the way inside, because it is hot as balls. Ventilation isn't great, & you really feel it with a full house of people - crazy crowded. Sweaty sweaty.

Super Laksa's Super Laksa (7.30RM) is a hot & sour penang style laksa - but good news, it's not fishy! Noodles were substantial & filled me up pretty good. This was a good rest stop for our legs before shopping resumed 😂

No-sweat kaya toast set. No sweat because no need to squeeze with every other Singaporean queueing up at the eateries found on Google (I'm guilty of doing research this way too!).

Nice teh (2 RM), great eggs (2.60 RM) & decent kaya toast (2 RM). Yay!

Milk Salt Iced Coffee (15.90RM) - yes, you heard me correctly. You can have it hot or iced, but apparently iced is the more popular variant, so I went with that. Opted for less ice & less sugar because I always drink my caffeine without the sweets.

This reminds me so much of LiHo's cheese milk tea, except it's coffee. The foam on top is where the saltiness is at - was told that no stirring is required, but when I tried to drink it, the foam was about to tip over & flow into my nostrils but I still wasn't able to reach the coffee.. So I asked for a straw.

Mixed everything together; the layers were still pretty segregated - predominantly pretty decent iced coffee, with the salty foam bits as & when you point your straw at it to suck.

Overall, a fun experience & nice twist to your regular cuppa joe. Definitely something worth checking out!

Tender slices of beef in saucy hor fun. Quite a hefty serving, so I'm glad we shared a plate. While it doesn't have the wok hei that you'd find in road-side stalls, I'd still recommend this if you want somewhere air-conditioned to brave the heat or hide from the rain. Price-wise, at 18+RM, it also isn't too expensive for a restaurant meal. ☺

The Soft Shell Crab Burger (26RM nett) is part of the all day menu available from 9AM-9PM, this smelled & tasted SO GOOD. The crab was fried yet not oily, & the egg was cooked to perfection. The soft fluffy burger buns brought everything together so well. 👌

Was welcomed by some very adorable & docile cats at the entrance of VCR 😍🐈 If you're afraid of cats, don't worry too much-- they're pretty harmless & don't wander inside the café.

The place was packed even on a Tuesday afternoon, with several people having laptops out & working while eating some grub/sipping on some coffee. Aside from the fact that we sat upstairs at one of the less-than-ergonomic tables that are the same height as your butt when you sit down (what a backache), & the air-conditioning was a bit stuffy, I'd actually recommend this place & would return again.

Flat White (12RM nett) was bold. It took a while to arrive (we'd almost finished our Turkish Style Eggs by then), but that's no biggie if you aren't rushing for time I suppose.

Turkish Style Eggs (25RM nett) is an item on their Brunch menu, so it is only available from 9AM-6PM. Reminds me of a shashouka, but without that same level of spices in it. The chickpeas gave a great nutty flavour to it, & with the sliced sausages & thinly sliced sourdough bread, this was a winner for me. Would be perfect if it had more spices imho!

1 of 3 craft beers on tap - here is the Scotch Silly (27++RM, 250ml), a Belgian butterscotch beer. 🇧🇪 It was sweet, not in a sharp cider way, but more of a subtle caramel-ish way. Overall not too crazy lah. Doesn't make it to my list of favourites.

The other 2 craft beers are also Belgian: Barbar Blonde (33++RM, 330ml), & Blanche de Silly (25++RM, 250ml).

Wine promotion - 2 glasses of house wine for 50RM nett. They have to be identical, though - as I only learned when I tried to order 1 red 1 white & was denied 😔

Great view of the Petronas Twin Towers from the cushioned seats. One thing I didn't know/expect was that the premises aren't air-conditioned, so it is a little warm in the afternoon, despite the fans being turned on. On hindsight, it makes sense to not be air-conditioned because there is a pool inside... Haha.

Worth it to come here & have a cheap drink just for the view. Happy hour is 11AM-9PM daily. Don't think it's worth it if you don't sit where the view is at, though.
