I’m a huge fan of Luke’s Lobster in the US, but hesitant to pay the exorbitant prices for lobster rolls in Singapore. I’ve previously reviewed the more affordable ones from d’Good Cafe and The Refinery, which are pretty good options if you like lots of mayo in your roll (I welcome mayo anytime).
For a more clean (and affordable!) version, Chunky Lobsters does a pretty good lobster roll. I ordered the Original ($16). As the shop name suggests, the lobster comes in pretty big chunks - so delicious. There’s something not quite right about the bun though, but I’m not sure what it is. Maybe it needs more butter? The roll comes with a lemon slice which makes it even yummier, and some very addictive chips.
I’d love to try the melted butter and cheese versions next time! Looking forward to their new branch at The Cathay which will hopefully have more seating space.

Sometimes the best food in a restaurant isn’t necessarily the most instagrammable dish :)
