Izakayas To Try In Singapore
Had dinner at Q-WA with a bunch of friends. We opted to dine outdoors as the seats inside were pretty cramped, and it was hard to talk, having to hear other diners conversations.
Started with soft shell crabs, beef and pork belly skewers. Beef was decently tender, and the pork belly skewers were fantastic (especially the buttery fats), which some might find it a little too salty. The saba fish and squid were pretty good too.
The place also has happy hour before 8pm, so do take note. Overall, a pretty good place to dine in and at reasonable prices.
Got down to Shukuu for dinner recently. Very cosy place to dine in. The menu, at first glance, was quite overwhelming as there weren't much illustrations, but the staff was very helpful in getting us to speed.
Would highly recommend the tuna belly don, tochgi wagyu skewers (very decent texture) and fried shrimps (surprisingly good), and definitely sake on the side.
To be fair some might find it to be a little pricey. Nonetheless it was an excellent dining experience
