To Burpple & Beyond 🌠🌌

Both drinks were such a pleasant surprise! 😋😋 Loved that the hazelnut latte wasn’t too sweet and was really milky and had a nice wholesome flavour, though wished that the hazelnut flavour shone through a little more! The chocolate mint ice blended looked like it would taste really artificial but it was actually really good! Loved that they used dark chocolate and it went really well with that tinge of mint and was so refreshing! Lovely well lit setting on one of the bridges in Plaza Singapura, with plenty of seating and power plugs available 👍🏻👍🏻

Yummy healthy option for a post-dinner treat! 😋😋 Though I understand why some might say the açaí is a little icy, it doesn’t compromise on the taste nor the satisfaction you’re going get from this! Portion seems a little small but is actually overflowing with goodness like banana, strawberry, blueberry, passionfruit, walnut, granola, almond flakes, pumpkin seed, flaxseed and honey! Free sauces include almond butter and honey, while you can top up $1 for Nutella, peanut/cashew/almond butter. Seating is really crammed, with about 4 tables of 2 pax each. Not my favourite açaí place, but definitely a good deal with Burpple 1-for-1 and situated conveniently at Plaza Singapura. 😊😊

Absolute comfort food for the soul 😌😌 A really nice big bowl of piping hot beef knuckle bones broth with fresh rice noodles that weren’t overdone, topped with beef brisket and shank (though not as tender as I had hoped)! But definitely a satisfying meal for both the belly and the wallet (with burpple Beyond!). Nice chill ambience with friendly service, definitely a good place if you’re having some Vietnamese cravings, pho real 😏😏

Great recommendation by the friendly staff! Something different from the usual pho and banh mi, this plate of Hanoi style vermicelli with light/warm fish sauce was refreshing and very very tasty! Loved the sour tang and citrusy bowl of fish sauce that came with three yummy meatballs! 😋😋 Also, the grilled fatty pork was beautifully seasoned and charred (though some bits were overcharred), but the savouriness from the sauce and sweetness from the charred bits really combined so perfectly 🤤🤤 Very satisfying meal for both the tummy and the wallet with burpple Beyond, and definitely worth a try if you’re craving for some good Vietnamese cuisine! 👍🏻👍🏻

This is hands-down-without-a-doubt my favourite ice cream place! 💕💕 Their flavours never fails to impress and there is such an extensive variety despite changing the flavours every day! Truly the hardest decision to make when you only get 4 flavours to choose, but the staff are an absolute delight and were so friendly and helpful in letting us try many flavours while even explaining to us the ingredients! Truly A+ service and A+ ice cream, and so extremely worth with burpple Beyond (I would totally still buy it even without discounts)! Really liked the Chocolate Sorbet (rich creamy and oh-so-chocolatey!), Nasty Mix (snickers bar in ice cream form omg) and Genmaicha (matcha and brown tea ice cream from Matchaya that’s a little fuller and more milky than the usual Matcha flavour). The salted caramel cheesecake was nice but personal preference for the first 3 flavours still 🙃🙃 Definitely worth a trip (or many more) for really good ice cream!

Pleasantly surprised by the sheer quantity and quality at this price point 😮😮 Chose the Mentaiyaki Tamago Kaisendon as it came with 4 generous slabs of egg tamago roll drizzled with aburi-ed mentaiko sauce! The Kaisendon didn’t disappoint either with generous portions of salmon, tuna, swordfish and scallop sashimi, all of which (though not of the best quality) were fresh and yummy! Definitely well worth the price with burpple’s premium set, which comes with a nicely grilled prawn with aburi mentaiko, as well as a nice sesame sauce salad and miso soup, not forgetting a refillable drink! 👍🏻👍🏻

Really value lunch set for the sheer quantity and quality of the hearty spread! Small cosy restaurant that serves fast but expect long lines at lunch (even before they open)! Miso Mushroom Noodles > Braised Pork Noodles > Sichuan Pork Noodles! Loved the egg noodles with a really good firm bite, perfect especially mixed with fried shallots and spring onion! 🤤🤤 Fried Pierogi (loved the combination of bacon with creamy cheesy truffle potato encased within crispy dumpling skin) > Smoked Duck > The Original (back to the basics is always good with good ol vinegar and ginger) > Spicy Sichuan (basically 红油抄手) 😋😋 Drinks wise, Salted Plum Wolfberry Pu-Erh > Longan Osmanthus Pu-Erh > Grapefruit Thyme Strawberry Green Tea > Passion Fruit Ginger Soda. Amazing lunch with Burpple Beyond, but would definitely return even without the 1-for-1 deals 👍🏻👍🏻

Pretty decent tart (though more slanted towards the mediocre side). Liked that the lemon meringue was not too sweet, with a texture that was foam-like and very light. However, the tart base leaves much to be desired as it was just a dry untasty biscuit 😥😥

Nice simple dessert and well worth with burpple’s 1-for-1. Vanilla ice cream had visible specks of vanilla bean but was on the sweeter side, but really did enjoy the honeycomb!! (Which was bitter with just a slight tings of sweetness 🤤🤤) Chocolate fudge was nice cause I’m a personal sucker for choc, but cheapened the whole feel of the sweet treat overall.

Definitely a well smoked piece of meat after 14 hours with simple salt and pepper rub, but definitely doesn’t justify the original price 😥😥 BBQ sauce had a nice sweet tangy tinge to it, and meat came with a 80% lean but yet not too tough and padded on the sides with a nice sliver of fatty layer. Pretty good meats but quality doesn’t justify the portion and price sadly ☹️☹️

Admittedly pretty tender and flavourful, but these 3-hour smoked ribs were definitely not fall off the bone tender and sadly did not justify its price (even with Burpple Beyond) for the portion and quality 😢😢 Apple cider glaze was nice and just the right amount of sweetness, but didn’t even know it was yuzu slaw until I read the menu (it’s just plain ol coleslaw). Pretty disappointing and you’d be better off settling your rib cravings elsewhere 😔😔

Omurice topped with beef and homemade demi glacé sauce was so worth with burpple’s 1-for-1! Star of the dish was definitely the creamy omelette that had a really good flavour, and beautifully encased moist tomato fried rice on the inside. Absolutely adore the omurice and tomato rice combi (tho the tomato rice that my mum makes has a more tomato-ey flavour), but the whole dish went really nicely with the sweet demi glacé sauce. Decent portion of 4-5 slices of beef (tho nothing much to shout about), it was a really hearty and enjoyable dish! 😋😋
