Sautéed mushrooms here with tinge of truffle oil in croissant is a good idea. Try this dish if you visit @EarlyBirdSG.

Didn’t expect to find this unique flavour on the menu at @PinceAndPints, which in our impression is the first few restaurants in Singapore to get the city rolling with Lobster Roll. The accompanying garlic butter sauce is sinfully good as well.

Lobster aside, there is something exciting which would be launched on its menu next week. Check out our insta stories for snippets of what’s coming your way!

This is part of the premium buffet selection which we tried at Tenkaichi, in addition to the meats.

Good Spice Carrot Cake, a fairly popular stall at Pek Kio Food Centre especially when each plate is $2. The carrot cake here is soft, and doesn’t spot a very strong flavour nor crispy texture. That said, it is value for money for the price and you would likely enjoy it if you are looking for an old school flavour.

One of our favourite patisserie in town has launched its latest Spring Menu and this is one of the lighter option. Each of this Peach is hand moulded, revealing a three layer filling of Vanilla, Pandan Jelly and Peach, in a sorbet-ish texture which wasn’t quite what we were expecting. Regardless, the Peach is like a refreshing breath of fresh air to the dessert scene.

This hearty stew goes better with some bread if you still have space for it. The creamy and rich stew is served with clams and monkfish, which is typically the type of fish served for this stew. Love the stew sauce here, as well as the freshness of the sea.

Mapo Tofu with minced chicken from the newly opened Botany by Dazzling Cafe at Robertson Quay. The surprise here is this this is actually a vegetarian dish as it uses Impossible Meat for the chicken. Quite a satisfying tofu dish, though the spiciness can be elevated by a little for more punch!

We could only imagine the logistics nightmare which goes behind the planning of the mega Super Brunch event today. The dessert section is well-divided into the iconic landmarks on the Monopoly game set, where we would gladly find “free parking” or “just visit” some spots. Our favourites of the dessert spread are the Pandan Macarons, chocolate pralines and the varied degree of chocolate ice cream flavours with various cocoa intensity!

Really love the jail, bank and design of each food station to fit the theme this year. Too many favourites today, swipe to the right for a glimpse of the amazing spread!

We fancy those with 古早味, and this popular stall at Taman Jurong is not too bad an option. It comes with fried fish and sliced fish if you opt for the $3.50 bowl. Feng Zhen Lor Mee is at 03-146, a few stalls from 58 Minced Meat Noodles we shared yesterday. And of course, no harm to add more vinegar yourself (吃醋免費). Good morning!

We braved a 45 minutes queue, ordered 3 plates, and it was quite therapeutic watching how each rice roll is prepared from scratch. Watch to the end to find out what flavours we had!

It closed the first time we came, and we were greeted with a long queue earlier. Pretty good noodles at 58 Minced Meat Noodle (03-150) stall in Taman Jurong, where you can add more vinegar yourself if you fancy!
