Durian 🤤

Wanted to go for something more novel than your usual durian mousse cake so went for this. You could really taste the alcohol in this, but on the whole felt that the flavours didn't reallt shine. Durian flavour was too weak and muted

Rather pricey for such a small size too

Portion is actually quite generous and you can tell they don't skimp on ingredients. The ice cream is rich and fragrant and you can taste the bits of durian pulps still existent

Bursting with D24 durian, this was really good, with the outer layer being perfectly thin and crisp. Super small though, can finish in 1 bite😅

These Durian Cheese Tart was so goooddd! A little expensive but worth it la. Great that it was more Durian than cheese. The staff assured me that cheese was just a small factor of the ingredients used haha. They use actual Mao Shan Wang durian flesh in the tart 😋 The tart pastry was also sinfully yumz- crumbly and buttery👍🏻 Only thing is you definitely need to drink alot of water after this because its super "heaty"😅 .

However, my reluctance to part with my $$$ is at least alleviated by the generous amount rich, luscious durian filling. Its June and the season of durians so everywhere's having durian as their special flavour haha. Got this MSW durian croissant and i quite liked the croissant on its own. Its glazed over with sugar on one side and the other side is plain i think, which is great because that helps to prevent the croissant from being overly sticky and sweet.

Brought this home so by the time i consumed it, was kind of nua already 😅 but certain parts still remained rather crisp, and i liked the chewy dough of the rest.

The durian filling was nice, didn't feel as if they added alot of sugar/sweetener. The filling was kind of little which I had kind of suspected would be the case because the croissant looked so flat 😹 A little pricey considering the amount of filling, and its not just with the durian one.

Perhaps because its been left out too long on the journey home, but the bun was kind of soggy by the time i consumed it and didn't have that oozy flowy "lava" effect. Perhaps it would have been better to purchase the frozen buns and heat them up on my own instead.

Nonetheless, i enjoyed this very much. The durian fragrance wasn't overwhelming (pro or con, you decide) though a little on the sweeter side. The size of the bun is rather small, which makes it perfect for a light afternoon snack!

but then again, since when are durian desserts ever cheap right?😅 I liked the thin and chewy skin which was covered with coconut flakes, but the durian wasn't strong enough for me and was kind of icy!

Its really nothing like mac's pathetic excuse of a durian mcflurry. Rich and creamy notes of durian that didn't taste artificial at all.
I really savoured every single bit of that softserve slowly to prolong my bliss but hey I didn't have to make much effort because the serving is pretty huge (especially for just $4.80 guys!!) Like legit, my cone was HEAVY 😂

Did some research before going and saw that the durian strudel was highly recommended so decided to give it a go!! I guess this would be ideal for those who prefer their durian more bitter than sweet as the durian filling was not sweet and actually tasted rather mild and more towards the bitter side, but the accompanying softserve was really sweet and rich, which suited my tastebuds more hehe 👅

It was truely an explosion of flavours in my mouth hehe 🙈

The portion was really so generous it can easily be shared between 2 or 3 people as a dessert. ( But glutton me had to have it all it myself 😈) Will definitely be back to try more desserts from their local flavours range as i find myself liking it more than the other signature creations on their menu 😊
