⁣I fell in love with Isaac Toast when I tried it in Korea so I was really happy that Isaac Toast opened in SG but this was so disappointing as compared to the ones we had in Korea. Isaac Toast in Korea has the perfect proportion of ingredients and sauces with sliced cabbage and pickles to cut the grease and give it a refreshing touch. However, the ones we bought here were overly buttered and greasy (Literally dripping butter!). It lacked the balance of flavours and eating it reminded me nothing like the ones we had in Korea. I can only say that it is a very ordinary toast sandwich in my opinion.

This was so gooodddddd. I was initially worried that it might be too “siap” or too sweet but this Thai Iced Tea was not “siap” at all and had the perfect amount of sweetness for me. Delicious!

Can you guess what dish is this? This dish is actually fried papaya! To be honest, there is not much papaya taste to it at all. Even my mum who dislikes papaya can eat this. Don’t get me wrong, it tastes pretty good but just nothing like papaya.

✅Flame Grilled Ayam Legend(S$9.90++).
⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣
The chicken was moist and tender but the star of dish in my opinion was the dipping sauce served on the side. Sweet, salty, tangy and spicy which elevates the dish, giving you a flavour explosion in your mouth! Yummss

Do not be deceived by its unassuming appearance! This dish was surprisingly flavourful and delicious. One of the favourites of the night. Most importantly, for $4.90? WORTH

There are 4 different options of soup bases, with the choice of chicken or beef, as well as rice noodles or springy noodles. The 4 soup bases available are:
1. Pathumthani - Sourish, slightly spicy, herby dark soy sauce base
3. Ayutthaya - Contains coconut milk, richer and creamier broth
4. Creamy Tom Yum
5. Sweet Kuey Chap
⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣
We ordered a variety of different combinations (I forgot the combinations in each bowl😅) but all chicken as we do not eat beef. It was my first time eating boat noodles so it was a pretty interesting experience for me. I think all of the soup bases were unique in their own ways and worth trying out the different flavours but the sweet kuey chap was a bit too sweet for my liking, probably more suitable for the younger palettes.

⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ Soft, silky, smooth beancurd topped with ginkgo and grass jelly. The perfect old-school dessert to have any time of the day. And for $2.50 a bowl? What a steal! ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣

Soft, fine traditional white bread with the perfect ratio of kaya and butter. Simple, cheap and delicious! ⁣⁣⁣

Situated in the heart of Bugis Street Level 1, Ah-Huat Traditional Bread offers freshly baked traditional white bread with spreads of your choice, such as kaya, butter, peanut butter. The breads are spread on the spot so you can order any combination of bread spreads that you like! They do offer other options on their menu like Hotdogs and Croissants but I say go for their traditional bread if you come here.

Here we have:
✅菜脯鱼头 Chai Poh Fish Head 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
✅马来风光 Sambal Kangkong
✅芋头扣肉 Braised Pork Belly with Taro
✅咕噜肉 Sweet and Sour Pork

These 4 dishes with 4 plates of rice totals up to be S$50, which is pretty reasonable considering the portion sizes. It is not my first time here but a must order every time I am here is their 菜脯鱼头 Chai Poh Fish Head. Extremely huge, meaty, fresh and flavourful fish head. Simply amazing. There are no words that I can use to describe it. Just come here, try it for yourself and you will know what I mean. Delicious is an understatement! At least for me 😋 ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣

⁣⁣⁣Chocolate tart base filled with smooth matcha curd and yuzu bits hidden within it.

This dessert has a lighter matcha flavour, suitable for those who are not fans of super rich matcha but it is on the sweeter side though. Pretty good!

This work of art consists of Uji Matcha Soft-serve, Azuki, Kinako Espuma, Matcha granola, Matcha Warabi Mochi and Shiratama (Chewy mochi).

The Uji Matcha Soft-serve has a strong and slightly bitter matcha flavour which balances really well with the sweet Azuki base. I really liked that the parfait was topped with granola and mochi that elevates the dessert by adding different textures to it. One of my favourites!

Soft, fluffy 100% activated charcoal sponge cake filled with rich ceremonial matcha chantilly cream and Azuki red beans.

This cake had a pretty strong matcha flavour with the sweetness mainly coming from the Azuki red bean filling in the middle. The sweetness from the Azuki red bean balances well with the slight bitterness from the matcha cream. Not bad!

⁣You can definitely taste that the matcha powder used in this drink is of high quality.

Apparently, this drink was made using Ceremonial grade Uji matcha powder. Vegan or lactose intolerant friends can also opt to have it with oat milk instead of fresh milk for an additional $1. However, I would only recommend this drink for matcha connoisseurs who like their drinks gao gao. I have to admit that I found it difficult to finish the whole cup on my own as it was is a bit too rich for my liking.

💕Eat. Cook. Bake. Repeat.
